A new gameplay video of the upcoming football game GOALS, which will rival EA FC, has been leaked! Let’s take a look together.
A new gameplay video of the game developed by Stockholm-based studio GOALS, which will enter open beta testing on Steam in September, has been leaked. What’s more, it’s leaked by the founder of the studio developing the game! GOALS seems to have an arcade-style gameplay.
Developed by GOALS studio, founded by former Counter-Strike world champion Andreas Thorstensson, and creatively directed by himself, the game named GOALS is on its way to becoming the rival of EA FC.
There isn’t much detail available about the game, which will open for open beta on Steam in September. However, from the gameplay video you can watch above, we can infer that the game will have an arcade gameplay style.
Was leaking some new @PlayGOALS lighting/camera/animation changes on Discord and realized I forgot to turn off my audio from Twitch. Can you guess the streamers? pic.twitter.com/D0wizdbokW

The graphics of the game also don’t prioritize realism. According to Andreas’ statements, the game prioritizes ‘response’ over graphics realism before footballer, league, and player licenses. It strives to allow you to make the move you think of during the match instantly. One of the frequent complaints of eFootball (PES) or EA FC (FIFA) players is this: “I didn’t throw the ball there!” This is the only thing Andreas doesn’t want in GOALS. Of course, therefore, artificial intelligence also needs to be superior in this case. The game, which will be released in 2025 and enter open beta in September 2024, can be reached from the Steam page if you wish.
It seems that we now have one more EA FC rival alongside UFL. Now we don’t include eFootball in this comparison because… You know why. What do you think about the GOALS gameplay video? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
