PlayStation Plus subscribers can play soccer games, Zelda-style games, and sci-fi games next month.
PlayStation has revealed this month’s free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers: EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall.
If you haven’t yet signed up for April’s free PlayStation Plus games, you have until next Tuesday to do so.
EA Sports FC 24 is a fairly recent game, released in September 2023; the first soccer game since EA parted ways with FIFA, EA Sports FC 24 may have a different name, but it is still a beautiful game. With many licensed teams and leagues, and impressive technology to support the entire experience, this was a solid attempt by EA to establish a new franchise.
We’ve seen plenty of Zelda-like games over the years, but “Tunic” is one of the best; a love letter to the Zelda games of the 16-bit era, “Tunic” is challenging, engaging, and full of wonder.
Ghostrunner 2 is another recent game to hit PS Plus this month. In case you missed it, this cyberpunk action game builds on the foundation of its predecessor with faster and more intense action. This sequel blends intense combat with smooth parkour energy, and once you get into the groove, Ghostrunner 2 will provide you with a hand-holding action experience.
Finally, Destiny 2: Lightfall rounds out the new releases for May, coming a month before the release of Destiny 2’s next expansion, The Final Shape, the final chapter in the “light and dark” saga. It’s not, but it’s worth diving into to acquire exclusive exotic weapons, master strand subclasses, and power up your Guardian for a final showdown with the Witnesses.
