Atlus has announced the release of a special “Persona 3 Reload” goods that are practical for first aid in times of disaster or emergency.
Persona 3 Reload Coromaru
Atlus has announced the release of a new line of goods themed on the hit RPG “Persona 3 Reload” that are practical and useful for disasters and first aid. The Persona 3 Reload special kit will be sold in Japan through merchandise company Movic and will be available in mid-2024.
The Persona 3 remake proved to be a beneficial decision for Atlus. The daily RPG is already one of Atlus’ most beloved games, and by offering new players a title enhanced by modern technology and the design lessons learned through subsequent entries in the series, “Persona 3 Reloaded” quickly made the list of the year’s highest-rated games. It leaped to the top of the list. The game’s success has created a new generation of “Persona” fans as well as energized long-time “Persona” fans.
And some fans must be expressing that vitality by picking up game-themed merchandise. According to a press release distributed via Japan’s PR Times newswire, Atlus and Movic will be selling Persona 3 Reload-themed disaster preparedness and first aid merchandise. The items will feature the insignia of the Persona 3 Sheath, an organization to which most of the main cast members belong.
Persona 3 Reload emergency kits and pouches feature SEES and Koromaru
The first “Persona 3 Reload” emergency kit to be released by Movic is based on the SEES motif. It is designed to be stored in a backpack and includes a crank flashlight, rescue blanket, toilet cover, first aid kit, water bottle, sanitary mask, and other emergency supplies. The backpack has the SEES logo, but it appears that the actual name of SEES is misprinted here as “Special Extracurricular Execute Sector,” while the official name used by Atlus is “Special Extracurricular Execution Squad”. The poster board that comes with the kit depicts the main character in the SEES-specific combat uniform added in Persona 3 Reloaded.
The second item is a special first-aid pouch based on one worn by the character Koromaru in Persona 3. Koromaru is an unusually smart dog who becomes a major party member in “Persona 3” and is able to use the powerful “Byakugan” persona in an episode linked to “Persona 3 Reload“. Koromaru wears a special combat harness to battle. Unlike SEES’s first aid kit, however, Koromaru’s first aid pouch is empty.
While most game-themed merchandise is associated with “useless” items and knick-knacks, it is interesting to see that Atlus is putting out practical items for Persona 3 Reloaded. Perhaps one day Persona fans will be able to save lives in times of disaster.
