Rumor: MultiVersus Teases New Classic Cartoon Network Characters

A new MultiVersus teaser hints that a trio of popular Cartoon Network characters could be coming to the game when it re-launches soon.

AftertheMultiVersusTwitter account posted a short videointroducingthenew Supermancostume, fansnoticed that thebackgroundofthevideo matched thepreviouslyreleasedconcept art for the Powerpuff Girls stage set atop TownsvilleCityHall.ThevideoshowsSupermanstandingontheroofofthegame‘sTownHall,perhapsindicatingthatthissceneiscompleteand ready for launch.Whetherornotthe Powerpuff Girls stage anditsgirlswill be playable on May28th has yet to be confirmed,butit‘slookingincreasingly likelygivenPlayer First‘srepeatedteasesabouttheseries. The Powerpuff Girlswererumored to be coming to MultiVersusinearlierleaks, so this possibilitymaynot come as abigsurprise to dedicated fans.

Anothermuch-requestedcharacter,theprotagonist ofDexter’s Labratory,couldalsobe added toMultiVersus. So far, fans onlyknowtheconcept art of the Dexter’s Laboratory stagereleasedbyPlayerFirst, butasthere-launchofMultiVersusgetscloser,thedeveloper willrelease more informationaboutnewfeatures forMultiVersus,includinginformationaboutnewcharacters.Heconfirmedthatmoreinformationisplannedto be released. However,aswiththePowerpuff Girls, Dexter’sappearancehasyettobeclearlyconfirmed.

Asidefromnewstagesandcharacters,thereareotherimprovementstolookforwardto, such asarevamped netcodefor MultiVersus. Therebootedversion will utilize afallbacknetcodefor Player First‘sfighting gamebuilt from the ground up,whichthe developersayswillsignificantly improvethe fluidity ofgameplayand matchmaking.

Player Firstalsointroducedanew MultiVersusskin. These include a newcostumefor Adventure Time’s Finn,featuringarobotic arm,andcel-shaded versions of Superman, Scooby-Doo’s Velma, Looney Tunes’ Taz, Adventure Time’s Jakeand LeBron James. Player First also confirmed thatanumberofcharacterswillreceivegameplay changes.
